Founders Campaign
As this fundraising season kicks off, Purpose Media International will enter the hunt for investors. It's nothing that I've ever done before, so I could use any and all advice. PMI has a huge task, creating fun, entertaining live shows fit for the web to watch during, after and always. That's the product, but what PMI needs the most is founders that want to invest in people. Me, for one, I need a lot of work. If someone wants to invest in PMI, that's great, but even more valuable is a group of people that could help me become a better leader.
I need help polishing the rough edges. There is such a passion for seeing people be who they really are at their core, that I come across bossy, like a know-it-all, or worse, someone that doesn't care at all. There isn't a mean bone in my body, but I have little tolerance for people that accept the status quo vs facing their fears. Since this accounts for 98% of the population, you can see how I may struggle in this life.
The first step to recovery is admitting there's a problem, well Houston, we have a problem. Is there anyone that will help me. Perhaps through this journey, as I talk more about this, others will be enlightened as well. The Lord spoke to me and said, My Son knew it all, but He CHOSE to listen to his children's requests for healing. I'm choosing to seek help for this flaw, only then am I a true ambassador for the Kingdom of God. Is there anyone that will walk this path with me, that is an accomplished listener, that will let me know immediately when I mess up? Often times I have no idea what I'm doing. It's not intentional, however, people who have been hurt in their past, take it as so. Regardless, it's hard watching people in so much pain, accepting their lives as is vs living the dream God intended --- that's my motive.
This may be a problem, I can't contain my enthusiasm. I get really excited and LOVE to interact with people that can have an open exchange and finish sentences for one another. To me, that's collaboration and a huge help, for others, it's labeled as interrupting and rude. Regardless, would you guys mind posting something on the discussion board? Maybe about how you've worked past this, or a situation you've encountered that has helped you? And if you know anyone that would take the plunge to work with me, personally, as well as invest in PMI- just let me know. By the way, Thanks for listening.
